My Story

Hi! My name is Alice Pantone and I am a female owned small business based in Pittsburgh PA, and I love plants!

Before Covid I had only ever worked in restaurants. Since I was a kid, I have been around indoor plants, garden beds and more. From growing tomatoes in Sharpsburg with my Nunna to playing in the mud in Alabama. Having a green thumb runs in my family! Even my grandmother is a retired gardener in England! I had never thought it would one day become my whole life.

I lived in Portland OR for 6 amazing years. I blossomed as a person and learned a lot about myself. When the pandemic started I was laid off from my job of 4 years. I was yanked from my comfort zone and I had some big changes ahead of me. I couldn't believe I was so far from my family, I had to move home asap. It was a scary time! After returning home I started working for like minded local landscapers. They taught me more about gardening than I could have ever imagined. Add that to my passionate feelings towards plants and the environment and you have Gardenland. 

I take extreme pride in my work. I love to create beauty in everything. I treat every request with the utmost care and consideration to meet all of your garden desires. Don't hesitate to reach out with any requests, big or small.
